Can you tell us a bit about your professional journey and how you came to work at Futuro Perfecto?
My professional journey is a blend of private banking, consulting, and entrepreneurship. I transitioned from physiotherapy to finance and business administration, founded and captained a handball team in university, and won national and international strategy competitions. My career included balancing roles at PwC and my own company, leading to resilience and time management skills. An MBA led to Private Banking at Bankinter, expanding my network and connecting with Futuro Perfecto's team. The vision and mission of Futuro Perfecto attracted me to join and develop a new department.
What attracted you to the field of R&D project funding and innovation?
My passion for innovation and R&D began in childhood, creating cardboard robots and learning coding. During my MBA, I explored electric vehicle technology. Innovation, for me, solves problems and impacts society. This passion drew me to R&D project funding, where ensuring the right profiles and funding are in place is crucial. The synergy between public and private sectors in nurturing innovation is immensely satisfying.
What skills do you consider essential for your role at Futuro Perfecto?
As Head of Operations, essential skills include leadership, team management, and fostering a collaborative environment. Strategic planning and understanding market trends are crucial for operational growth. Developing and mentoring team members, making informed decisions, and aligning plans with company goals are key to driving efficiency.
How can a small business or startup benefit from Futuro Perfecto’s services?
Futuro Perfecto supports small businesses and startups through various growth stages, from pre-MVP to Series A and beyond. We help navigate Horizon Europe Programs for public funding and offer private fundraising for market-fit companies. Our international presence aids global scaling, recognized by the European Commission. Our consortium team supports companies in international projects with a comprehensive understanding of deep tech needs, making us a valuable partner for startups.
What do you enjoy most about your work at Futuro Perfecto?
I enjoy connecting with a diverse and talented team, learning and growing from different backgrounds and experiences. The challenge of navigating deep tech and R&D funding complexities and the satisfaction of seeing projects come to life is rewarding.
