In this article we will explore EIC Accelerator winner Brainhero's mission and vision in developing neurofeedback therapy to help children with ADHD and Autism.
Vienna-based startup Brainhero is at the forefront of enhancing the lives of children with autism and ADHD through groundbreaking neurofeedback therapy. We are pleased to announce that in the past weeks, our client signed their grant agreement with the European Commission for the EIC Accelerator.
Founded by Christof Götz and Christine Hartlieb-Götz in 2017, Brainhero has devised an interactive neurofeedback training, merging a mobile EEG and app to boost concentration and relaxation among these children.
This innovative therapy has garnered a total budget of 3.7 million euros, including a non-dilutive grant of 2.5 million euros from the European Commission.
This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of the Brainhero team and our innovation consultants at Futuro Perfecto. We are extremely proud of this project and the collaboration that led to these outstanding results.
Brainhero's neurofeedback training empowers children to navigate their cognitive processes with real-time monitoring and tailored techniques. By enhancing concentration and relaxation, it offers a promising avenue for cognitive development.
Importantly, Brainhero reduces EEG hardware costs by a factor of 10 and therapy expenses by 60%, making it significantly more accessible to a broader range of patients. With streamlined setup and the convenience of home-based therapy, Brainhero optimizes training while easing the burden on families. Since its launch in October 2022, Brainhero's therapy has gained approval as a medical product in Germany and Austria.
The funding secured from the EIC Accelerator marks a pivotal moment for Brainhero. With the potential to profoundly improve the daily lives of children and families confronting challenges, Brainhero's HealthTech solutions are now equipped with the resources needed to create a substantial impact.
